Video HELP - can't install totem, and mplayer does not load

mplayer works if i load something from a webpage (most of the time)

but if i just load mplayer, theres a blip and then it dies

when i try to install totem i get

--> Processing Dependency: libnautilus-burn.so.1 for package: totem
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Missing Dependency: libnautilus-burn.so.1 is needed by package totem

When i try to use xine to play .wmv i get it can't lode a codec -

please help, my goal is just to have a solution that will play all file extension in or out of the web

Thanks,

Boyd

mplayer just starts the command line version, gmplayer is the command to start the graphical front-end. Try that, if that did'nt work then Just make sure you installed all the things needed for gmplayer. depending on the repo installing mplayer skins will be enough and will pull the other dependencies. The codecs are from the mplayer website (google for it, don't remember it exactly) the essential codecs package is enough. then extract it to /usr/lib/win32 everything should work then from the sounds of things
