Question Core 5 Blank Screen on Install iMac Flat Panel

Hi

Anyone know how to get the install working on an iMac. I downloaded and checksummed the DVD for PPC. I boot frm the DVD. I ge the install prompt but when loading the kerne, soon after the screen blanks and it reboots afte 5 min of inactivity.

I tried: text video=ofonly and several other with no luck.

Is it just that the Xwindow system doesnot like the viedeo hardware on this machin? Its an iMac 15 inch flatpanel. Probably the first version of this model.

Any ideas or should I just wait for CORE 6?

Try "linux resolution=1024x768" in the boot options. This is advised in the FC4 mac mini setup guide but it worked for me on FC5.
