libfaac?

Has anybody been able to install libfaac on FC5? It's needed by ffmpeg to create Quicktime files. It seems to have a dependency conflict. It needs something called /sbin/postun_ldconfig

http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i586.rpm.html

Which is available in glibc-core.

http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i586.rpm.html

However, the above glibc-core conflicts with the standard FC5 glibc rpms which don't appear to have postun_lidconfig.

Anybody run into this?

Thanks.

Steve, thanks for responding. Is faac supposed to be in the standard FC5 repository? I can't find it here.

http://fedoraproject.org/extras/5/i3...w/F.group.html

I found a version from fc3, and it wouldn't install because it wanted libfaac. How surprising. I guess the next thing I'll try is to compile from the source and see why it needs postun_ldconfig. It seems like a very odd dependency.

Thanks

Hello:
I may have described the repos a little bit on the generic side . Just follow the guide here for configuring you Yum and you should be good to go.http://www.stanton-finley.net/fedora...notes.html#Yum

Then if you like you can install Yumex and do a quick search.
Good Luck
