Hard Disk Install Does Not Recognize Upgrade

I've got the DVD iso in my home directory on the hard disk, but once I point the install program to the location of the iso, and at the first GUI screen I click "Next" I get a message: "Error mounting file system on hda2: Device or resource busy" -- wouldn't this be expected in a hard disk install? When I click OK it does NOT detect my FC4 installation, so it moves to the partition screen.

How do I force it to recognize the existing FC4 install so I can UPGRADE, not wipe and reload? And isn't impossible to do a full install using the same hard disk?
