error message during yum update

I am trying to update my clamav. yum gives me the following error message:
Resolving Dependencies
--> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait.
---> Package clamav.i386 0:0.88.1-1.fc5 set to be updated
--> Running transaction check
--> Processing Dependency: clamav = 0.88-1.fc5.rf for package: clamd
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Missing Dependency: clamav = 0.88-1.fc5.rf is needed by package clamd

On the other hand, I have clamav = 0.88-1.fc5.rf already installed.
rpm -q clamav
clamav-0.88-1.fc5.rf

Thanks for your help

It's telling you that when it updates clamav, a dependency for clamd will no longer be met. I'm not sure if this will work, but what I tend to do is uninstall the problem package (in this case clamd), update the package you want to update (clamav) then reinstall the problem package (clamd). This might be a convoluted way though - but it usually works for me. If uninstalling clamd takes a lot of dependencies with it make note of them so that you can ensure you can reinstall everything you had before.

Fedora Extra's clamav and your RPMForge ones conflict. It seems you have clamd from Extras + RPMForge's clamav. Not a good mix... FYI 0.88.1 is outdated, 0.88.2 is the current release and it's off development:
Code:
yum --disablerepo=* --enablerepo=development --enablerepo=development-extras update clam*
That will get only ClamAV updated from development, not your whole system, don't worry about that one.
