Also, look at his yum section up above to make sure that you have the same repos configured.

See my Media howto in my signature; It will install totem-xine for DVD playback, which require xine-lib so it's what you want. It will also show you how to get WMV and ASF v9 working properly (normally only v2 and v3 are supported.)
