800 x 600 on Vaio vgn b1xp

can't quite believe this has happened.....I tried linux three years ago on a Shuttle and it was a nightmare then....at least the display worked properly...

I have tried various fixes of the xorg.conf, but still stuck with 800 x 600

Sony Vaio VGN B1XP
Intel 82852/855GM gaphics
Fedora Core 5

Please help before I try again in another three years....anyone got a xorg.conf I can copy please ?
