Hello:
Just pop in the dvd and let it auto-mount.
It should open a window on your desktop, which will have a file called linux-installer.sh or something similar [Cd version is linux-installer.sh]? Can't remember all the details.
Sometimes it will not let you run the installer off the media disk...so whatever the linux-installer.sh is called, just find it and copy it from the media disc to your home directory.
Then open a terminal as user and not as root. Then cd /home/username
and type ./linux-installer.sh enter
and just follow along.

I copied the linux-installer.sh file into my home/user directory and ran the installer. When i keep default settings and it begins to install, it asks me to mount the play disc?

Before you run the ./linux-installer.sh unmount the dvd right click on the disc on you desktop and select eject.
Then run the installer and mount the disc when it asks for it. If that does not work then open a terminal log is as root and mount the disc manually..e.g. #mount /dev/hda/dvd/media ..or whatever it's called and then switch back to the other terminal and cd /dev/hda/dvd/media ..or whatever it's called and run the installer from there.
