GNOME Splash Screen Misaligned

Hey everyone,

[unimportant]
Before I give you my problem I thought I'd give you a bit of background info since I'm a new user here at Fedora Forum... I started using Linux around the release of Red Hat 9 (2003?) I've used Red Hat 9, Mandrake 10, Vector Linux, Lycoris, Lindows, and SuSE... But I always returned to Red Hat! Anyway, at some point I had to get rid of my PC and was without for about 2 years... Well I'm back and dualbooting Fedora 5 with XP Pro.

In support of Fedora, the installation was a breeze, I haven't had a problem with it yet and it seems to be the most user-friendly distro I've tried as-of-yet. (Yum is the best!)
[/unimportant]

Anyway now my problem... I've changed my GNOME splash screen and it works fine the only problem is that the icon that scroll (or appear) across the screen don't line up right with the splash screen, I've tried numerous splashes figuring that maybe the author mis-aligned it but it happens with all of them. It seems the splash is either too far down the screen or the icons are too far up and they run into the picture instead of across the blank space where they should be.

Any help is greatly appriciated,
Rob

P.S. I'll upload a pic to show you what I mean

Because of the bubble splash screen Fedora changed the source code for gnome-session to add extra padding to the icons to move them up. 2 solutions. Pad any splash images to include transparent space top and bottom. Or download the srpm package for gnome-session, and build it yourself removing the patch to increase the off-set: gnome-session-2.12.0-shaped.patch.
