cdrom device (/dev/cdrom) is not of type generic SCSI.

I have 1 hdd (/dev/sda) and 1 dvdrom (/dev/hda) in my FC5. But...

$ cdda2wav -J
cdrom device (/dev/cdrom) is not of type generic SCSI. Setting interface to cooked_ioctl.
126976 bytes buffer memory requested, 4 buffers, 8 sectors
cooked: Read TOC : Input/output error

What is wrong?!

/dev/hda is your cdrom ? This is my harddisk. Mostly it should be /dev/hdb if you have at least one harddisk.

I only give an advice I do not know it better.

s-strong,
What is the manufacturer and model of your dvd? The solution, if any, might be peculiar to certain hardware.
