weird problem on disabling desktop icons in kde

I unchecked (show icons on desktop) option in control center but the problem is that it also removes my background image that is set in appearance and themes , actually in appearance and themes, background image is the same as earlier but all i see is the blue wallpaper which i havent set. also one of the 4 desktops still shows icons and the rest three dont but all show the blue background. Plz help its really frustrating me .
