Help weird login screen

Hi,

I am having problems with the login. I don't get the normal login screen where I can chose gnome/kde. Instead, I get a black screen with a generic X-login. I belive this is x-windows or something. How do I get into gnome, or at least get the regular login screen?

Try logging in and typing startx
