FC5 on Dell Inspiron 6000 External HDD

I am trying to install FC5 on Dell Inspiron 6000 on an external Hard drive (Maxtor 100 GB).

I had FC4 installed on this drive before. I want to upgrade to FC5.

When I am trying to install, the partition screen does not show me the externalhard drive what am I missing here. When I boot from the CD it shows that it is loading USB driver and all..

thanks..

Did you boot using "linux expert" ? It will be necessary in order for the installed to see the external drive.
