Konica Minolta Magicolor 2430 DL

I just bought a new Konica Minolta Magicolor 2430 DL colour laser printer.

It is used as a network printer (ie. not connected directly to a computer, but by ethernet).

Under windows, it is accessed with a tcp/ip port, but I can't get it to work under Fedora core 4.

Anybody know how?

On Fedora 16, after upgrading mine did not work anymore. What I did is the following:
Downloaded the driver from here http://www.openprinting.org/driver/P...ONICA_MINOLTA/
(right click and download) then installed the RPM from the download directory. Once installed, I ran the command system-config-printer and added the printer from the networked printer list did pick the HP Socket and the it showed me the right driver model. after that tested printer and it worked fien; by default it prints mono but changed to color photo-text and was able to print color. Befor this, it was impossible to print, eventhough the printer manager saw the printer. I have the PPD in case it is moved somewhere else. Bought all ink catridges for 124 dollars at Amazone, what a deal for another 5000 print outs.

Glad you solved your issue, however the thread's six years old and it's best left dead and buried. If you have a solution that you'd like to share, it's best to post it in a fresh thread on the appropriate sub-forum.

Aha! That FAQ link up top might have given you the info, but to save you a bunch of boring reads, here's what to do:

Click on the Forums link, then select the proper sub-Forum for your post. Once inside it, look for the New Thread button on the top left. Click, type and post!
