Erratic mouse freezing in FC5

I have a Logitech Trackman which worked fine under FC4. I've just upgraded to FC5 and now find the mouse behaving very eratically. Sometimes freezing for periods and unfreezing, sometimes seeming to wander off on its own. Is this likely to be an FC5 issue (drivers or something like that?) or a hardware issue?

Thanks for any comments.

Things seem to have eased up but thanks for drawing that option to my attention. I'll keep it in my bag of tricks to look at if the problem re-emerges.
