FYI below for my correspondence with tech support (TYPICAL)!
Hello Clint,
Thank you for your email, but unfortunately there is not time frame given for the release of new linux drivers, we have requested the drivers to Japan. Keep an eye on Canon website, as soon as it is released will be on the website first.

anon LBP1120 Printer Drivers
Hi Anand,
Thats great - thank you. I'm just wondering what the likelihood of the
request being accepted, developed and released? Given this flavor of
Linux is the most widely used Linux distribution and is the basis for
the Enterprise edition of Red Hat (new version based off Fedora Core 5
due for release I expect that you guys will indeed release a driver. I'm
just wondering if there is a time frame on this; obviously I can't be
without a printer for 6 months!
Regards,
Clint.

I have checked more on the drivers that are available and unfortunately the drivers available doesnt support the version (Fedora Core 5) and cups (version 1:1.2.0-1.1) that you are using. It is the latest version in the market and at this stage there are no drivers available that supports the version that you are using.
