FC5 Garbage can not working

Greetings

Here's my problem:

When I want to delete a file it always skips the garbage and deletes it straight away. When I drag and drop a file to the garbage can, it also deletes the file straight away. This way my garbage can is always empty.

Anybody know how to fix this and make the garbage have a normal behavior?

Thanks

Check the settings in your file manager (Nautilus or Konquerer, usually)

Hello

I already checked, made alterations to options similar to the problem, but without any good results.

Thanks

I experienced the same problem. It started when I changed the icons in the Theme I was using. Even though the files "look" as they were being deleted right away, they were still in the system (don't even know where). I "fixed" the problem by changing the icon theme again. Now, it is working properly. I know it's not a "technical" explanation, but it worked. Can it be that the link to "trash can" is not set-up with the icon on the desktop??? If you try changing the icons and it works, please post here to see if someone can find a technical explanation to this.

No, that doesn't works for me. In fact since the first time I used FC5 it never worked, without changing anything in the themes preferences....

Thanks

Ok, I know that the files are in the garbage, but the problem is simply that the garbage desktop icon doesn't links properly to the garbage folder.

Anyone know how can I do it?

Thanks

This is a bug in GNOME 2.14. Disable SElinux for hal daemon from Security Level Configuration.

You'll need a reboot.
