Hi Jim,
I did that exactly and now I have 2 alias in my Office application, I can open it on my desktop but it wont open on browser. It worked previously on Kernel 2.6.16-1.2096 and now I have updated 2.6.16-1.2111, Last night I went to
"The Unofficial Fedora FAQ" and followed the latest updates and now can't get PDF on browser. Any ideas?

Hello:
Not sure why the kernel update borked your Adobe, however to re-install the plugin:
Open a terminal and login as root...then # cd /usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/Browser and run ./install_browser_plugin

and just follow along with the on-screen instructions:
You can read more details @ /usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/Browser/HowTo/ENU/

Hello:
You and me and everyone else are out of luck until Adobe releases a 64bit version...
Seve
Misread your post a bit..Sorry . By the way you might be able to install the 32 bit version on FC5 x86_64 .... I have not tried but I will give it a go later on tonight ... and post back the results?
But AFAIK there is no 64 bit version of Adobe for us at the moment.

Hello:
Not sure I understand what you are saying? Have you already installed Acrobat Reader following the instructions here :http://www.stanton-finley.net/fedora...tes.html#Adobe
and when you go to this website for example: http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsf.../files/i-9.pdf the pdf file does not load as adobe?
Do you have SELinux enabled? If so disable and try the pdf web site again.

Yep disabled SELinux, tried it and can't read pdf "http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/files/i-9.pdf[/url" dosen't load?
Checked ;
[root@localhost local]# cd Adobe
[root@localhost Adobe]# ls -l
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 4096 May 6 14:38 Acrobat7.0
[root@localhost Adobe]# ./install_browser_plugin
bash: ./install_browser_plugin: No such file or directory

I can launch "acroread" from command line , but can't get Browser-plugin to work?

Hello:
Just installed the standard 32 bit version on my FC5 x86_64 following : http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_cor...tes.html#Adobe
and it works fine
However, you should be aware that it will not work as a plugin for your 64 bit browser.

Hello:
You should have that file [install_browser_plugin] installed by the Adobe rpm??? Which should be located in /usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/Browser ,
Open a terminal and login as root then # rpm -aq | grep Adobe
Then rpm -e Adobe.rpm
And go back and install Adobe following the instructions here: http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_cor...tes.html#Adobe

I've just found something in the SElinux settings that might help. If you go into Security level Configuration in the SElinux Tab under Compatibility enable the option "Allow use of shared libraries with text relocation". I've just tried it with Adobe 7.5 and it worked.
