Dual boot Fedora 18 tc 4 or 5

Is it me or is fedora 18. I do not see an option to install to free space during setup, instead it uses the entire hdd.

There's something that a few people seem to be missing--a checkbox to allow me to view partitioning when complete or something similar.

I've only tried it on a VM as opposed to a drive with something on it, but there is an option to create and remove space--so no sure what happens when you have other stuff there already.

Re: Dual boot Fedora 18 tc 4 or 5

What I usually do when dual booting Linux with windows is to shrink c drive by 360GB. I have a 1TB drive. In most fedora installations prior to Fedora 18 I was able to select use free space. This new user friendly installation method...well lets say it's not that user friendly. One thing that bothers me is when I have to click for an option then after selecting go back...hmm, why not just continue.

keep in mind that the release of Fedora 18, is still far away from stable. It's still considered pre-alpha. When I tested it (it was tc5) it was very sluggish, and mounting encrypted partitions via nautilus didn't work. I'm still afraid of attempting an installation (maybe I will try when alpha is released).

I agree with what your saying, just thought that selecting free space was something that should have been available from the beginning.
