Re: How do i mount mtpfs for nexus7 file xfer

Wow, Thanks a lot. that was easy. I think my hangup was giving write permission to the "nexus" folder.

Like you said, Simple and to the point.

All i have to do now is get nautilus to play nice with mtpfs and i will have it made.

I am looking for a way for it to mount on plug in, not complain when it isn't there, and then to browse it with nautilus..

Thanks again! It's a big help.

Re: How do i mount mtpfs for nexus7 file xfer

Try changing permissions on the nexus directory.
As root:
Code:
chmod 0755 /mnt/nexus
I don't know if that will solve your problem or not.

PabloTwo - another name for genius :-)

The permissions on the nexus directory where 777 (see above listing). After changing them to 755, magic happens

Code:
# ls -al /mnt/nexus/Internal\ Storage/Pictures/
total 109586

drwxrwxrwx. 2 root root 0 Jan 1 1970 ..
