Internet Information Services Standalone Installer?

I haven't been on this forum that much since I completed my Linux module at school. I am not in another Server 2003 course.

I know this might not be the best place to ask, but it's the best place I know... For now...

I was wondering if there is a standalone installer or MSI file for IIS.

It's annoying to have to put in the Windows CD or mount the image.

Is there a way to pull the installer from the CD?

Not sure why I am responding a windoze question here, but why not just copy the i386 folder off of the cd to the server/workstation/whatever, search the registry for "source path" and change the value to c:\i386?

That could work, but it still would be nice if there was an easier way by just copying an installer and installing it the same way you install any other program...

no, it will work and it could be considered a best practice.

It is a windows component. That is how you install windows components.

Well I don't like installing that way... I like installing the usual way.

If that's my only choice then I'll do that, but if an easier way existed I would like to know about it...

That might be what I am looking for, but the filesize is small, so maybe it downloads it from the internet each time which could waste bandwidth. It would be nice to have a full installer that you can just put on a share and double click to install...
