Fedora 17 NIC is disabled automatically

Using fedora 17 for critical application in the organization. But if due to any reason the network cable is removed then NIC is getting disabled automatically. If I am connecting back the network cable still automatically it is not coming up. I need to go to the network menu option and manually I need to make it on. then only it is working. What is the remedy?
