dvds and fedora 17 x64

i have in the past got encripted dvds to play,,,bur for some reason, i cannot now....i have used the 2 popular repositories, and i install everythihng...but everytime i try to get dvds to play, say encripted....i can remember last time i got this working,,it was onlly about 3 entries into the terminal...anyonen helpme....
thus us what i just installed, no success.

Are you using totem? Many folks seem to have problems with it. DISCLAIMER! No personal experience with it on Fedora in years, I'm going by old experience on Ubuntu and what I see on these forums.

I would install the libdvdcss from either atrpms or livna, I don't _think_ it matters which one. Then, install either mplayer or vlc and see if they can handle the DVD.

just curious ...what linux distro are you using now?

okay.....looks like i have installed the proper software all along, ,,its my high school football dvd that will not play...just installed rambo, and it plays...man,,,spent 4 hours trying to get this non-playable dvd to play...
