x-nautalis won't start

Thanks for taking the time to read my question.

I just turned on my pc and I got the following error:

Quote:
Error: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
Please select another viewer and try again.
My computer is crazy slow now, nothing appears on the desktop, menus still work, can't see my open programs at the bottom of the screen.

I did a yum update, but nothing has changed.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Brad

Thanks for the reply,

I'm fairly new to Linux. Not sure what that is, or how to check.

pidof metacity

if that returns a number its running.

I figured I wasn't supposed to have metacity, so I did

yum remove metacity.

Now my PC won't start.

I'm in the midst of trying the recovery CD, but I can't

yum install metacity. That command is not found in bash???

Any ideas?

Brad
