Fan speed.

I recently installed F12 on my main notebook and ever since the fan has been running at full speed (or near full speed). According to the 'sensors' command I usually have temperatures between 50-70.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I didn't have this problem before the installation.

Thank you.

I have a similar problem. With Fedora 11 the fan hardly ran at all. With Fedora 12 it runs at low speed. I am using the LiveCD default installation with default drivers, including video drivers, on an HP Pavilion DV6809 notebook. Video resolution 1280 x 800.

I mention the video information because I noticed an similar increase in fan speed when I was using Vista and "updated" the Nvidia video driver, through Windows Update. Fortunately System Restore worked that time and I was able to remove it and the fan problem went away.
