Using the stock terminal or Roxterm ...
Has anyone had issues with the command line history, under Fedora 18, with regard to using the up and down arrows to go back and forward in said history? When I cycle through a few of the last commands my command line becomes unreadable, with commands overlapping one another. Oddly enough, no matter where I stop in the cycle that current command works as expected. It's as if the prompt gets pushed out to some random location in the currently displayed command. Also, if the command happens to wrap to the next line it doesn't, it just wraps to the beginning on the same line.
Here's an example.
glenn@phenom18 ~> packages=$(yum list instecho $packages
That is actually 2 commands.
packages=$(yum list installed | wc -l)
If I were to press enter on that mess then the command that would be executed would be "echo $packages" ...
Hope I'm fairly clear here. It seems difficult to explain exactly what is happening.
