VRRP Enable on physical interface

Hi All,

I have few doubts on VRRP.

Which kernel version is supports VRRP- VMAC?
How to enable VRRP-VMAC on interface(expecting VRRP behavior in kernel itself)?

I have tried with netlink socket ( as per Keepalived daemon tool), but I am getting error "file already exists".

I am suspecting, when I check with Keepalived daemon code and kernel 2.6.30...... I think its not full supporting and I am unable to compile daemon tool in 2.6.30. But I am able to compile keepalived daemon tool on kernel 2.6.35. And I saw some code changes there in kernel 2.6.35 as compared with kernel 2.6.30.

Any one, to share code for enable VRRP-VMAC (user space to kernel) on interface in kernel, if you have......
