Missing intel 2230 wireless firmware!

Hi,

I just installed Fedora 17 on a HP dvt-7000 quad edition and much to my
surprise I found that wireless did not work.

The system uses the intel centrino 2230 wifi and the associated firmware
was not found when the system booted.

I went to http://intellinuxwireless.org/?p=iwlwifi&n=downloads
and downloaded the firmware for the wireless and copied it
to /lib/firmware and rebooted.

This time the wireless came up ( but does not see my 5GHz access point).
