libdnf segmentation fault in Fedora 26

Is there a workaround for this?

Code:
dnf check-update
Last metadata expiration check: 0:08:36 ago on Sat 15 Jul 2017 09:22:05 PM EDT.
libdnf.x86_64 0.9.2-1.fc26 updates
python3-hawkey.x86_64 0.9.2-1.fc26 updates
Code:
dnf update
Last metadata expiration check: 0:08:27 ago on Sat 15 Jul 2017 09:22:05 PM EDT.
Dependencies resolved.

Problem: The operation would result in removing the following protected packages: dnf
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Re: libdnf segmentation fault in Fedora 26

doubtful, update is aliased to upgrade. Other "dnf update" usages updated other packages (I did a bunch of libreoffice ones) just fine tonight. It's just the libdnf that's the problem. I guess I could try downloading the rpms directly and updating with rpm itself.

Re: libdnf segmentation fault in Fedora 26

One of my fedora 26 upgrades did something like that. I went to the directory where the rpms for upgrade were, and did a bunch of "rpm -e --nodeps" on dnf f25 packages and did some "rpm -i dnfXXX" f26 packages to replace..
It was probably a little dangerous, but I was able to fix dnf and restart the upgrade and get it up.
