How do I edit this file?

I'm trying to edit:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=".:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH"

to

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/lib:.:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH"

I am trying but I don't have permision, and when I log in as root and use gedit to open the file. I get this.

====
[root@clannad TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_x86]# gedit ts3client_runscript.sh

(gedit:20235): EggSMClient-WARNING **: Failed to connect to the session manager: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported

** (gedit:20235): WARNING **: Could not connect to session bus

Re: How do I edit this file?

Let's have a look at permissions.
Code:
ls -la ts3client_runscript.sh

Re: How do I edit this file?

You probably have downloaded it using root account.
Code:
su -c "chown darksnow:darksnow /path/to/ts3client_runscript.sh"
Then you can edit it as you tried before.

I havent touched it for about a year, but i hope this script could be of use for you:

Re: How do I edit this file?

Instead of using 'su', try 'su -'.
Or 'beesu - gedit ts3client_runscript.sh'
