I had a look around the Fedora project pages and couldn't see any evidence of activity on updating the outdated version of Netbeans (6.9) in the repos. I understand we can install the latest version using installers provided on the site (currently downloading one) - but this is such a wonderful development environment, I am surprised it is not being maintained in the repos. Is this anything to do with the Oracle involvement??

Actually, having now discovered how easy it is to install the latest version from the Netbeans site, I don't think I'd be too worried about whether or not the repos are updated. If only all applications were this easy to install on linux.
