Xorg running at 100%

Hi all,

Around a month ago, I updated my Fedora system to F17 and I am currently running Cinnamon instead of Gnome. Up until yesterday it has been running reasonably reliably.

Since this morning however, three times Xorg has started hogging the system's quad CPU, running at 100%. I rebooted several times, went back to an earlier kernel, to no avail. Within an hour or two, Xorg is back to 100% CPU.

The box is up to date with latest packages via Yum.

What could possibly be going on here? I look at "top" output and it doesn't tell me anything more than... Xorg at 100%,

TIA
