Correct: "transaction check failed" means YUM aborted. You'll have to go fetch that one last monodoc RPM that is apparently required (for some odd reason - I fail to see why documentation is a necessity ). After that, it should work. Same page as the other stuff - here's direct link to the RPM that you need: monodoc-2.2-2.fc10.i386.rpm

Download to same folder as all the other mono* stuff, then repeat last command.

Over 7 MB of verbiage. What a waste of HDD space ! Oh, well: it's "required". Whatever... .

Yea, it worked. everything installed

Next question is about the code that goes into httpd.conf, when i put the code in from go-mono the httpd will not restart.

OOF! Afraid I can't help there. You followed the instructions at the go-mono site, I assume ? Must be more goofing around required with HTTPD and/or mono* .

You're welcome. My member profile is public, and available by clicking on my member name at top left of every post I've made (select "View Public Profile" from drop-down list). Pseudonym "Hlingler" is name of my first D&D character. I do lots of seemingly useless stuff. I can assure you that you have been merely fortunate (depending on point of view) to have found me on-line and actually paying attention lately.

Good Luck, sorry that I cannot be of further help with the details of Mono hacking. My mission was to help you get Mono upgraded to F10, as that seemed to be the gist of the go-mono tutorial, but at this point, I don't know why it won't work.
