I am wondering if anyone out there knows why certain programs start when I boot up my machine. I recently updated Firefox (14.x) and changed the icon so it points to the new location, however each time I start up KDE automatically runs the original version (3.5.9). It reloads all the legacy Addons and starts some processes that I have to kill with -9, so it's kind of a pain. I'd like to just turn that off or else point it to start the updated Firefox if the former's not possible.
I tried looking in .kde/Autostart, in .kde/share/autostart and .config/autostart and there aren't any files there. But I'm also in a vnc session and wondered if perhaps there's a vnc autostart that's causing this?
Or are there other places to look for this phantom legacy autostarting Firefox?
It's FC11, KDE 4.4.3. Thanks for any suggestions or help!
