Thinkpad fan control

Hi!

How can i control my Thinkpad's fans?
It's way too noisy, i hate that the fan aren't at the same noise level all the time.
If the fan would be noisy 24/7 i could get used to it, but not when it's quiet sometimes.

I've tried the instructions on http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/ACPI_fan_control_script but some kernel modules seem to be missing:
Code:
[root@thinkpad Downloads]# /usr/sbin/ibm-fancontrold
grep: /proc/acpi/ibm/fan: No such file or directory
grep: /proc/acpi/ibm/fan: No such file or directory
9811: old priority 0, new priority -10
> Starting dynamic fan control
> Shutting down, switching to automatic fan control
/usr/sbin/ibm-fancontrold: line 257: /proc/acpi/ibm/ecdump: No such file or directory
[root@thinkpad Downloads]#
All help appreciated

I tried it now.
Code:
Feb 16 18:13:50 localhost kernel: thinkpad_acpi: Not yet supported ThinkPad detected!
Too bad! I hope Fedora 13 will support my Thinkpad.
