Unexplainable Kernel crashes --linsys usb adapter

So after reinstalling Fedora because of a different problem which was my fault

I was working in IDLE doing a web project for work. Watching a little youtube as well. Suddenly kernel crashes. Lost all my work.

Anyways. This has happened before 8/10 times when I plug in my usb adapter and it fails connect and even when it does connect to my router. The kernel crashes. I've done my googling on this. It appears to be a pervasive bug. But I wanted to see if maybe I'm missing an easy solution other than buying a new adapter.

no dmesg because i restarted but I can provide if required

On another note -- i have tested this on other distros to try to reproduce the error. No problems except with fedora. I haven't tested arch yet. But mint/suse and windows have no issues.

okay I think i figured it out...its a power issue with my usb port

[ 4057.243055] usb 1-7: device descriptor read/64, error -71
I checked to see if there were any conflicts with other devices ti was trying to install and blacklisted any I felt would be possible candidates. Then I deleted all associations with Modprobe -r. I brought wlan back up and re plugged the usb. Still the same error upon installation.

can i get a confirm on this?
