Content of ifup/ifdown scripts needed

I ran RootKitHunter on my 64 bit intel dual core fedora system and received a warning that the ifup and ifdown scripts had been replaced.

Where would I find the contents of those scripts to check on whether they are what they should be; or how can I just reinstall? Those were the only two warnings I got from running the rootkit hunter program and I'm not enough of a tech maven to read the scripts.

I ran rootkithunter because the machine has been acting weirder and weirder culminating in my ISP warning that that computer had been issuing too many bad commands and shut off my outbound email (only from that computer) temporarily.

I am trying to decide if I had some malware or if I was dealing with the kernel data-eating bug.

You can check file integrity using rpm:
Code:
rpm -V initscripts
To reinatall:
Code:
# yum reinstall initscripts
If the Verify test returns nothing, all files are in tact as originally installed. If you get return codes on any files (from "man rpm"):
Quote:
S file Size differs
M Mode differs (includes permissions and file type)
5 MD5 sum differs
D Device major/minor number mismatch
L readLink(2) path mismatch
U User ownership differs
G Group ownership differs
T mTime differs
P caPabilities differ

Thanks! The verify test returned nothing, so I'm guessing the problem is the data-eating kernel bug.
