pulseaudio downgrade?

I'm having a problem with the latest pulseaudio on F12 and I'm wondering if there is an easy way to downgrade to the version on the install DVD which worked better for me.

Is it as simple as running 'yum downgrade pulseaudio'? Or are the old package versions erased from the package servers when a new version is available? If so, is there a way to store the old rpms on my hard disk and then downgrade to those?

Thanks for the help.

I'm a bit too nervous to run any commands at this point because I don't want to break my system. I've already done that and had to reinstall. I'm mostly looking to figure out what would happen if I did run the commands but I'm not quite ready to actually run them yet.

Sorry but there's no output because I haven't run anything yet. I'm trying to stay safe by figuring out what would happen if I ran those commands before I actually run them and change my system.

With the latest version of the pulseaudio I can't choose my PCI audio card, I can only choose the internal audio card, so I had to run yum downgrade pulseaudio and everything is working fine.

Yeah I'm having much better luck with the previous version myself as well.

Was the old version (0.9.19-2.fc12) still available on the servers or did you have to create a copy first and store it on your hard drive?
