One or more disks are failing messege

Hey all, just installed Fedora on a back up hardrive I had around, which was working perfect just 3 days ago ( had windows xp on it )

Now I get that little icon on the top of Fedora 11 saying the disk has bad sectors, I know windows xp has the option to fix the errors, but how can I do this in F11?

Welcome to the forum,
Ignore this message, like most people do. Most all disks have "some" bad sectors and Palimpsest is way to sensitive.

thanks for the quick reply mate!, yeah?, thats a relief, is there anyway to get rid of the alert messege?

I once started to try to remove Palimpsest but I found it to be so tightly bound with so many other packages I didn't pursue it any further.

You can uncheck Palimpsest in the list of startup applications.

AAh, listed as disk notifications. I missed that when I first looked there.
