Fedora 15 forgets screen brightness

Everytime I change my screen brightness from screen settings, the new brightness level stays for the current session only and then gets reset back to 100% every time i reboot my pc... What am i doing wrong?
I have a Dell Studio XPS 1645

Re: Fedora 15 forgets screen brightness

What are you using gnome/kde...?
I know in kde in power options there are profiles and the setting in the profile get set whenever the profile is set.
I have no idea what you mean by 'screen settings' is this an application itself or is it within some kind of gnome control panel?
Maybe there is a set default option?

Re: Fedora 15 forgets screen brightness

I am using Gnome 3..

and by screen settings i mean
'gnome-control-center screen'

It's gnome's default screen settings manager. It allows us to change brightness, power off screen after, lock screen, dim screen, etc.

Re: Fedora 15 forgets screen brightness

1) I'm experiencing the same behaviour. Don't know what to do about it.

2) What seems to be at least as annoying as your problem: In Gnome 3 I'm missing two different brightness settings for battery and acdc usage of notebooks...
