So just the other day, I got a spanking new Logitech Mediaboard Pro that uses bluetooth. So I slapped in a bluetooth dongle on my PC and tried to get it working. Afterwards, things start to look bleak.
First, both gnome-bluetooth and kdebluetooh can find the mediaboard, however it always fails to pair. Both are stuck in the part where there is a dialog asking user to input some pin from the keyboard, however when I type stuff from bluetooth keyboard, nothing appears. As if the keyboard is not paired / connected yet. I tried it on a mac, and it works flawlessly. On Mac, user is asked to key in some numbers for PIN before pairing, and user is able to enter those numbers using the bluetooth keyboard, unlike in F11.
Now, trying to work around this, I used hcitools and hidd connect and managed to connect the keyboard. However, after turning the keyboard off and back on, the connection is broken and I must issues several commands again in terminal (using another keyboard). Obviously this is less than ideal since the PC is an HTPC and the keyboard is turned off when not in use. Does anyone has any insight on how to properly set up bluetooth keyboard that can re-connect after tuning off and on?
