xfce fail

Guys,
I did a "yum update" (running f17) and after a reboot the window manager was gone.....no border, titlebar, minimize etc.....all gone. So in a mad dash (this is my work machine....softphone and all) so I installed LXDE to get me by.

.....any thoughts??

thanks,
mark

While it is unlikely that an update caused the problem transaction 88 is the last update you did.

Which Xfce version are you using 4.8 (the standard) or 4.10 (from the Fedora People repos)? There hasn't been any recent updates to 4.10 that I've noticed.

Re: xfce fail

You should be able to get it back by entering xfwm4 in a terminal when booted into an xfce4 session.
I'm not sure, but you may need to call it this way: xfwm4 --daemon or xfwm4 --replace
For other options, use: xfwm4 --help
