Unhappy Problems with getting PHP extension pecl_http to run on Fedora 19

Good day everyone!

I recently started using Fedora at work. I set-up my development environment for our web application, everything went OK, except when I tried to install pecl_http.

I tried it through yum and using pecl install .. the result is the same. The extension does not work.

When installed through youm:
Code:
[sveb@toster utils]$ php
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib64/php/modules/http.so' - /usr/lib64/php/modules/http.so: undefined symbol: php_persistent_handle_abandon in Unknown on line 0

Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib64/php/modules/http.so' - /usr/lib64/php/modules/http.so: undefined symbol: php_persistent_handle_abandon in Unknown on line 0

Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib64/php/modules/http.so' - /usr/lib64/php/modules/http.so: undefined symbol: php_persistent_handle_abandon in Unknown on line 0
When installed with pecl_install: it's basically this: https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=65985

Any known methods to solve this? I'd really appreciate any help or hints...

Re: Problems with getting PHP extension pecl_http to run on Fedora 19

Which version do you need ?

php-pecl-http is available in fedora repository and provides pecl/http version 2.0.0beta

php-pecl-http1, which provides version 1.7.6, is not yest available in fedora repository (under review).

You can found RPM in remi repository or in Copr
http://copr-fe.cloud.fedoraproject.o.../remi/morephp/

Remi.

Thank you for your reply. I will try the remi repository on monday at work. Version 1.7.6 should be just fine, and I will let you know how it goes.
