I just updated my office PC from Fedora 16 to 17 and then reran smolt to update the profile. This results in a different smolt URL being created. This suggests to me that the old smolt URL for my PC for Fedora 16 will just sit in the smolt system and get old.
That seems like a bad way to do things, I suspect by now there are probably a dozen of dead smolt pages for just this one PC of mine alone, not even counting all the laptops I have updated. Does smolt have a timeout where it simply removes entries that's not been updated recently?
UPDATE: I see this
says they will decommission smolt in favor of "census" https://fedorahosted.org/census/
