Hi all, I wanted to get the whole AirCrack suite and downloaded the aircrack.i586 package with yum. It installed related programs (is this the correct term? programs sounds too Windows...). I know I need to update the drivers, or atleast patch them. So I ran airodriver-ng.
Now the issue is with the airodriver-ng part is:
Code:
[root@GremmlinF11 MP]# airdriver-ng install 14
Driver "Intel Pro Wireless 4965 A/B/G/N" specified for installation.
DI_DRIVERPATH1[14] isn't set, you need at least one driver source!
Running "depmod -ae"...
Failed to install the driver.
Look through "/var/log/airdriver" for errors.
When I look at /var/log/airdriver it just says:
Code:
Tue Oct 6 11:26:58 CDT 2009
Installing "Intel Pro Wireless 4965 A/B/G/N" on 2.6.30.8-64.fc11.i586.
Which is not much help at all. I've figured I need to download the driver I require and put it *somewhere*. So the problem is what driver, and where to put it. Do I need the patch? The patched driver? The firmware?? I KNOW it is the Intel 4965 having checked the AiroCrack forums, wiki, and tutorials...
On a side note, when I search for this type of error I always find something related to different gcc versions used to compile the kernel and the driver, however I do not have this error (being a yum installation I figure).
Any help is appreciated
