F17 on Dell Mini 1012 - can't click and drag with touchpad

Any input on this is appreciated...

I am relatively new to Fedora. I have it installed on an HP EliteBook 6930p and it works fine there. I also put F17 on my Dell Mini 1012 and there is a problem that doesn't happen on the HP. Namely, I cannot click and drag with the touchpad. For example, if I want to move a window, I go to its titlebar, left click the touchpad, and then try to drag the window. It just won't move the mouse cursor until I let go of the left button (at which point, of course, it's not moving the window any more).

This doesn't happen if I plug in a USB mouse, but that's not always feasible.

Any suggestions?

Thanks very much.
