Mounting USB PenDrive in Fedora Core 4

I have ust installed Fedora Core 4 on my 1 ghz. pentium III machine with 256 MB RAM.
I have 8 GB Kingston USB Pendrive. When I use Ubuntu linux, it immediately shows the contents of the pendrive, but on Fedora Core, it is not shown even though I have configured it show it on hot plugging.

Do I have to mount it ? How ? What can be the device name ? How to find the device name ?

Please Help.

Fedora Core 4 is so far out of date it may not have kernel support for your 8GB USB flash.

However, if you want to see what is going on, open up a terminal window and after plugging in (or unplugging then replugging) type

dmesg | tail -n 40

and examine the output to see what the kernel detects.

Hi this is waseem baraskar I am facing same problem.

Now i log in as root.

after entering

dmesg | tail -n 40

in my terminal while usb drive plug in.
