How to change Login screen and lock screen background when i change desktop backgrou?

Hello! So,

On Ubuntu 12.04, when I change the desktop background - It automaticly changes both login screen's background image and lock screen's background image, too .

unfortunately in Fedora 17 the state is different.

Is there way, that when I change destop's background image, the login screen's background image and lock screen's background image, will change too?

I'm using the Gnome3 version.

Sorry about my bad english, and thanks a lot!

No

But if you can move your preferred wallpaper file into the folder at /usr/share/backgrounds/beefy-miracle and rename it as default.png, you can have your preferred wallpaper. You need to fix the file permissions too.

Well, for changing the login screen background, try

Code:
su -
[root password]

xhost +
sudo -u gdm dbus-launch gnome-control-center
Choose the image you want.

If you see the xml file in /usr/share/backgrounds/beefy-miracle/default, you can find out what files are being used. Edit the xml file or rename the images to change the background images. Hope this helps.

Thank you .. Well, is there option that "Background" prompt (where changing the desktop background), will move the selected image to "/usr/share/backgrounds/default/default.png"? I guess it better than terminal CP

I don't think so.

In my case, I created a folder bgs under /usr/share/backgrounds/ and put all my backgrounds. This circumvents all the permissions issues that will arise.
