Can not connect to the SSH no matter what

I have server behind router and i have forwarded all ports onto server.

I have done the following so far:

1)SSH is running
2)I can connect to it from the server itself
3)I can connect (using putty) from coputer, that is behind same router using both internal AND external ip
4)selinux is disabled
5)iptables service is disabled
6)router firewall disabled
7)fedoras firewall is configured to allow port 22
8)when I try to connect (using putty) from outside of router, then I cannot connect => nothing shows in /var/log/secure either

Any ideas?

Re: Can not connect to the SSH no matter what

Presumably you are using NAT on your router. So, have you set up any port forwarding rules ?

Sorry, didn't notice that in the first line.

Re: Can not connect to the SSH no matter what

If you are saying that you can connect to sshd from another computer on your local lan,
then sshd and ssh client are working.

Either your isp is blocking port 22 or your router is still not configured correctly.
Have you tried to access the same computer running sshd,
with apache running and using port 80 externally?

maybe a mention of your isp and type of router?

Re: Can not connect to the SSH no matter what

I don't know if forwarding ALL the ports is a good idea. My cheapo router just ignored that setting in the past.

Try installing apache to see if your ISP is indeed blocking port 22. I doubt it.
