how to install xcryden

hi everyone
I am trying to install xcrysden 1.5.3 version. i am following the read
me file but when i enter the command "./xcrysden" i receive

i have two PCs. one is of OS FEDORA 16, 64 bIT AND 2nd is using ubuntu
12.04 64 BIT. first one is core i3 and 2nd one is core i5 dell
inspiron 620.

pleas help me to solve this problem. thanks in anticipation

After everything else failed try to read the README ;-)

./xcrysden: line 230: /home/msajjad/xcryden/xcrysden-1.5.53/bin/xcrys: No such file or directory

You probably downloaded the source code and "forgot" to compile the program. The semishared binaries are working out of the box with Fedora 16

tar xzvf ~/Downloads/xcrysden-1.5.53-linux_x86_64-semishared.tar.gz
cd xcrysden-1.5.53-bin-semishared
./xcrysden

i tried your instructions and got the result. i mean that xcrystalden window opens when i used the command "./xcrysden". plz let me know that now is it ok? i mean xcrysden is installed properly? actually i am new userandno nothing about it. i also visited the link

to get Make.sys file, but i dont know that how to modify this file according to my requirement and how to proceed further. the truth is that i am blank in this matter. i also followed the link

You don't have to compile it yourself if the binaries are working.

i installed wien2k but xcrystalden is not working. so what do u say George. thank u

If you paid 4k bucks for this thing try to read the manual or ask Karlheinz.
